T. S. Melki, M.D.
Dr. Melki graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1986. After a one year internship, he went on to complete his three year residency in ophthalmology at Georgetown University Medical Center.
This was followed by a fellowship devoted to diseases of the retina and vitreous at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Melki's return to Washington, DC led him to join the clinical faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Georgetown University Hospital. In 1992, Dr. Melki founded the Retina Centers of Washington which has developed into two completely independent, modern offices in convenient locations Arlington, VA and Rockville, MD.
Sue M. Zakka
Administrator of the practice. Manages all aspects of daily activities.
Her goal is to assure that patients are treated with the utmost
compassionate retinal care.
Nguyen T. Huy. M.D.
Dr Nguyen T. Huy graduated
from the University of Medicine of HCM City ( Viet Nam) in 1994,
followed by 18 months fellowship in Lyon ( France ) and then 1 year
research fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in
Ophthalmology. Starting from January 2007, Dr Nguyen moved to Virginia
and joined The Retina Centers of Washington,
as photographer and medical assistant. He is fluent in
Vietnamese, English and French.
Jorge Diaz, M.D.
Dr. Diaz has completed his medical degree in his native country Peru in 2005. He joined The Retina Centers of Washington in 2006, as Ophthalmic Photographer/Angiographer, and medical assistant.
Patient Coordinator / Receptionist: Greeting patients upon arrival at the Virginia & Washington offices and helps with arranging their follow-up appointments.
